GIVE BACK
Every bathroom and basement we remodel helps fund free, critical home repairs for Utah families who are struggling. Your project doesn’t just change your home—it helps keep another family safe, dry, and dignified in theirs.
When you remodel with Heart & Hammer, a portion of your project goes directly to repairing homes for families who can’t afford it.
OUR MISSION
We started Heart & Hammer after seeing too many neighbors in the Wasatch Front living with unsafe bathrooms and flooded basements—things that put their health, stability, and dignity at risk. Not because they didn’t care, but because they simply couldn’t afford the repairs.
So we made a decision: every single project we complete will help fund free, essential home repairs for local families in crisis. When you choose Heart & Hammer, you’re choosing to be part of a quiet, steady ripple of good across Utah.
Every project gives back
From replacing mold-damaged showers to repairing flooded basements, your project directly funds urgent, no-cost work for families who are barely getting by.
We partner quietly with local organizations, social workers, and community leaders to identify families in real need—so your remodel dollars are felt where they matter most.
HOW IT WORKS
We’ve built giving back into our business model, so you don’t have to do anything extra. Your remodel naturally becomes part of the story.
You choose Heart & Hammer for your bathroom or basement remodel anywhere along the Wasatch Front. We design and build a space you absolutely love.
Behind the scenes, we allocate a portion of your project revenue directly to our Heart & Hammer Community Fund.
Our team handles your remodel with the same care and craftsmanship we bring to every home. Clear communication. Respect for your time and space. Beautiful, lasting work.
Once your project wraps, we allocate the final donation amount and queue up the next family repair.
Working with local partners, we identify families facing unsafe bathrooms or damaged basements—often due to medical bills, job loss, or unexpected emergencies.
Then our crew shows up and does the work at no cost to them—funded in part by your project.
STORIES OF IMPACT
Names and some details have been changed to protect privacy—but the needs, and the impact of your projects, are very real.
After years of plumbing issues and water damage, the Martinez family’s only full bathroom became basically unusable. With three kids at home and unexpected medical bills, a full repair was out of reach.
Using funds from recent Heart & Hammer projects, our team rebuilt their bathroom: safe plumbing, new waterproof surfaces, and a space that finally works for their family.
“We had been living around a broken bathroom for years. Having it fixed at no cost felt like someone finally saw us.”
A sudden storm and aging drainage left the Johansen family’s basement soaked. Insurance covered a fraction of the damage, leaving dangerous mold and a space their teenagers could no longer safely use.
Through our give-back program, we tore out damaged materials, addressed the moisture issues, and rebuilt a dry, livable basement they could feel good about again.
“It felt like we got our home back. Our kids finally have their space again—and we’re not worried every time it rains.”
An electrical issue sparked a small fire in the Nguyen family’s bathroom, leaving behind smoke damage and a space that no longer felt safe—especially with aging parents living in the home.
With help from our community partners and funded by recent client projects, we fully rebuilt their bathroom—safe electrical, new finishes, and an accessible layout for their parents.
“Seeing the new bathroom, my dad cried. He said it finally felt like home again.”
